We did the 5d/4n Ausangate Trail with Inti Sun Trek.
About the Trek: Days 1, 2 and 5 are fairly easy with walking times of about 3 to 5 hours. Days 3 and 4 are quite a challange with passes over 5000m. Hiking times of 7 to 8 hours. Nights were extremely cold, and temperartures rarly exceeded 5 degrees celsius during the days. This trek has one of the most impressive landscapes and mountain views of whole Peru!

Equipment: We rentet sleeping bags and linner from Inti Sun. They were very great, so we could keep ourselves m warm in the nights. The tents were comfortable and we were provided with soft mattrasses and pilows. The equipment was carried by 3 horses.
The crew: There were only me and my wife on the trek. The guide Alfredo was fantastic, explained a lot (very good english!) and we were greatly looked after. The cook Eliseo created fantastic meals. Eventhough we were not really hungry because of the altitude, it is very important to eat a lot to keep you warm and provide you with energy. So we were really glad to have Eliseo with us. He even prepared hot water to fill up our bottles before we went to bed to put it in the sleeping bags to keep the feet warm! Last the horseman Cirillio: He helped with everything, setting up tents, get water, cooking, a really tough guy with energy we could only dream of. All in all a really fantastic team, really could not have been better!!!
About Inti Sun Trek: Jesus organized everything to our complete saisfaction. He is very responsive to Emails and explained every detail with great patience..
